Job Summary: We are seeking a Software Developer to join a collaborative development team supporting and enhancing critical business applications. This role is ideal for an early-career to mid-level developer who possesses strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to continuously learn new technologies.
While experience with PowerBuilder is a plus, we are primarily looking for developers with solid software engineering fundamentals, strong SQL skills, excellent communication abilities, and the aptitude to quickly learn and contribute in a dynamic environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers, product owners, and QA professionals in a hybrid Agile development environment while gaining exposure to both modern and legacy technologies.
What You'll Do - Design, develop, test, and support business-critical software applications.
- Troubleshoot application issues and independently investigate root causes.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA resources, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Work with both existing legacy applications and modern development technologies.
- Document technical solutions, development approaches, and troubleshooting processes.
- Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and business processes.
Required Qualifications - 0-5 years of software development experience.
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience developing applications using C# and/or .NET technologies.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize database queries.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with PowerBuilder.
- Experience with Oracle databases.
- Exposure to Agile software development methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field.
