Job Description

The Systems Administrator will work closely with Software Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Data Engineers to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable systems that enable our customers to operate safely and efficiently at enterprise scale. This position requires strong systems administration and infrastructure design experience, with an emphasis on database management, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, security, and operational scalability.

Required Skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Cloud & Database Infrastructure: Deploy, provision, configure, and secure AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, CloudWatch, VPC, and related services. Support database sizing, performance, administration, and server security.
  • Systems Administration: Administer and maintain Linux and/or Windows environments supporting development, testing, training, and production systems. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Build, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • Kubernetes & Containerization: Design, build, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operations.
  • Security & Maintenance: Conduct vulnerability scans, apply security patches to physical and cloud infrastructure, manage VPN technologies, and maintain current SSL/TLS certificates and security configurations.
  • Architecture & Scalability: Design and implement secure infrastructure enhancements to support new capabilities, improve system performance, increase scalability, and resolve infrastructure-related issues. Maintain and evolve system architecture in accordance with operational and security best practices.
  • Collaboration & Technical Support: Work closely with development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to identify infrastructure requirements, resolve technical issues, and improve the reliability and efficiency of mission-critical applications.

  • 4+ years of experience administering Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Elasticsearch experience. 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster administration and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies such as GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with system security, vulnerability management, patching, VPNs, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
  • Proven systems design, troubleshooting, scalability, and problem-solving capabilities.
