MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Developer Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of F-22 IMIS support. You will play a crucial role in supporting cutting edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients.
- Support all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
- Assists with creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
- Performs software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
- Uses programming, analysis, design, debugging, testing, and documentation tools to build and maintain high-quality, enterprise-wide software solutions.
- Provides analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
- Advises on the software or system for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates
- May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals
- Assists in research, design, and development on application software
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Developer Principal must have:
- Education: BA/BS degree (additional years considered in lieu of degree)
- Experience: 5+ years of related Linux experience
- Technical skills: C, C++, Linux, System/Software Design, GitLab and Java, Compiling code using GCC and Make file systems
- Security clearance level: Active secret clearance OR previously held secret clearance preferred, must have ability to obtain interim clearance
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: History of developing applications and troubleshooting issues within the code, Writing in C, C++ along with development of scripts
The likely salary range for this position is $101,546 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
