Full Job Description
The role:

In this role, you will design and architect scalable, high-performing software solutions with a focus on long-term maintainability. You will develop and support modern, content-driven digital platforms, with a strong emphasis on Kentico CMS and the .NET stack, working across both front-end and back-end layers. This includes building and maintaining Kentico-based applications, integrating services through APIs, and delivering secure, reliable solutions using C#, ASP.NET, and modern web technologies.

You will write clean, well-structured code across both traditional and low-code/no-code platforms, supported by unit testing and clear documentation to ensure quality, usability, and ongoing supportability. You'll also contribute to the evolution of development and integration standards, working closely with cross-functional teams to promote consistent, high-quality engineering practices and align solutions with architectural principles.

The role includes designing and implementing complex features, enhancing existing systems, resolving defects, and optimizing performance, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. You will also collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to shape delivery approaches-balancing custom development and low-code solutions-and actively participate in agile planning and delivery to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Complex Technical Tasks:
    • Design and architect software solutions, considering scalability and performance.
    • Conduct unit testing to ensure software quality.
    • Thoroughly document your work, including code comments and user manuals.

  • Integration Standards:

    • Contribute to the ongoing development and documentation of programming and system integration standards.
    • Collaborate with other developers to ensure consistent practices.
    • Integrate third-party software seamlessly into existing applications and infrastructure.

  • Application Components:

    • Design and implement complex features within applications.
    • Maintain existing components, addressing bugs and enhancements.
    • Optimize performance and resource utilization.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Project Collaboration:

    • Provide input on project deliverables, including time estimates and cost assessments.
    • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
    • Participate in project planning and sprint reviews.


We'd Love to Work with You If You Have the following skills and abilities:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of application development experience in corporate environment
  • Degree or diploma in computer science or related field with emphasis on Web development
  • A strong knowledge of software development processes, analysis, design, tools and techniques
  • Experience with relational database systems
  • Experience in building frontend applications using Power Apps
  • Experience automating processes using Power Automate
  • Experience building RESTful APIs using .NET Core for building connected, service-oriented applications
  • Experience writing SharePoint Timer Jobs and console applications
  • Understanding of SharePoint framework (SPFx)
  • A strong understanding of financial tools and the banking sector is a definite asset

Salary Range: $68,800.00to$103,200.00CAD

Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role's requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.

Office Location: Toronto Corporate Office with the ability to travel to our St. Catharines office as needed. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
