What You Will Do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data ingestion pipelines, onboarding workflows, and API-based data services using Java and ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica), enabling standardized and repeatable data intake into the Data Platform.
  • Implement intake and onboarding solutions that support end-to-end lifecycle activities, including discovery, requirements analysis, source system profiling, and technical design, aligned to defined intake processes, SLAs, and governance requirements.
  • Modernize and integrate legacy data ingestion pipelines with AWS and Databricks lakehouse architecture, supporting batch and near real-time ingestion patterns and enabling consistent data flow into enterprise data services.
  • Develop and expose API-driven data services and integration patterns to facilitate secure data exchange across enterprise systems, analytics platforms, and downstream consumers.
  • Build and maintain production-ready ingestion pipelines and onboarding frameworks that meet technical, security, and documentation requirements for controlled promotion into production environments.
  • Implement robust logging, auditability, and monitoring capabilities across ingestion and integration workflows to support traceability, incident response, and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and platform operations teams to integrate ingestion pipelines with AWS services (e.g., S3, messaging/streaming services) and ensure secure, scalable connectivity across systems.
  • Contribute to governance and compliance practices by incorporating data classification, access control patterns, and lineage updates as part of onboarding and ingestion processes.


What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Minimum SEVEN (7) years of experience in application and data engineering, including strong hands-on development in Java and enterprise integration frameworks.
  • Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica) developing and maintaining large-scale data ingestion pipelines.
  • Experience designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines and onboarding workflows for structured and semi-structured data sources.
  • Strong experience integrating legacy data systems with cloud-based platforms, including AWS services (e.g., S3, IAM, networking) and modern lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience building and maintaining API-based integration services for enterprise data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Experience implementing production-grade solutions with logging, auditing, error handling, and reliability patterns aligned to enterprise operations requirements.
  • Familiarity with secure development practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements in regulated environments (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP High).


What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience supporting enterprise data intake and onboarding services within a governed data platform or similar large-scale data modernization effort.
  • Experience integrating with Databricks lakehouse architecture, including ingestion into Delta Lake and downstream analytics enablement.
  • Familiarity with streaming and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, EventBridge) for near real-time data ingestion.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and controlled deployments across environments.
  • Exposure to enterprise metadata, lineage, and catalog tooling supporting governed data platforms.
  • Experience supporting federal clients or working in highly regulated environments with strict data protection and audit requirements
