About the jobIn this role, you will own and deliver critical features for our user-facing consoles, rich security insight dashboards, high-throughput analytics pipelines, public APIs, and dynamic Policy Engine. You will work across both front-end and backend architectures, partnering with Detection teams and cross-functional stakeholders to turn advanced bot and agentic threat detection and anti-abuse systems into highly intuitive, useful products used by more than 14M domains. By managing the end-to-end lifecycle of consumer-facing security features, you will have a direct impact on protecting the digital ecosystem for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and our global enterprise customers and will be at forefront of enabling a safe agentic web for all.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain high-fidelity user journeys, interactive UX, and configuration flows in the Cloud Console (Fraud Defense and Trust API).
- Build and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines (e.g., via Napa and Sawmill log architectures) to process, warehouse, and serve high-performance security metrics to customer observability dashboards.
- Extend and maintain core serving services (using C and Kotlin) ensuring system reliability and correctness.
- Partner with SRE in our weekly product rollout cycles, establish monitoring metrics, and actively participate in the joint development on-call rotation to triage customer escalations and interrupts.
- Write clean, maintainable, and highly testable code; scale our hermetic testing suites; lead team-wide bughunts; and refactor serving layers to support evolving billing and allowlist features.
