Primary Objective of the Position:

Under the general direction of the VP, the Software Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining applications within Cargojet landscape. This involves in discussing the needs of the business, analyzing and developing solutions/applications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications to meet business requirements.
• Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code to support application functionality.
• Design and maintain database objects such as tables, views, triggers, packages, and procedures.
• Create APEX pages, including Master Detail Forms, Tabular forms, Apex Collections, Interactive reports, and Charts.
• Develop RESTful APIs for interfaces.
• Develop processes and scripts to load flat file data into Oracle databases.
• Design and develop reports using Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, and Power BI.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing APEX applications.
• Improve performance and response times of APEX pages and reports.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning.
• Utilize HTML/CSS/JavaScript/JQuery for web/UI design.
• Follow best practices to document and track changes and synchronize development/production environments.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, trace data/logic, and report back on root causes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Expertise in Oracle APEX (version 4.2 /19.2 or higher).
• Expertise with Oracle Database (11g/12c/18c/19c or higher).
• Experience in AWS environments
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Performance Views, Data Dictionary, External Tables, indexing, Cursors, Constraints, Job Scheduling, and Materialized Views.
• Experience with APEX themes, templates, data upload tools, page/application items and processes, forms, and reports.
• Experience with Glassfish Application Server and APEX Listener.
• Web/UI design experience involving HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and AJAX.
• Experience with Business Requirements capture, Analysis, and Documentation.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, and Power BI.
