In This Role

In this role, you'll work as a hands-on software engineer building and evolving next-generation systems and AI-powered engineering capabilities. You'll spend the majority of your time developing software, primarily in Python, while working across systems software, Windows development, automation, developer tools, virtualization, AI/LLMs, and cloud infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to turn research ideas and experiments into practical engineering solutions, including AI-powered software engineering, agentic systems, automated testing, program analysis, and scalable engineering platforms. This is an environment where adaptability, strong software engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work through ambiguity are important as you explore new technologies and solve complex engineering problems. The position is onsite in the Puget Sound, WA area and involves close collaboration with other engineers and researchers.

  • Work across technology boundaries, learn new technologies, and contribute to next-generation engineering platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerShell, Rust, or C#.
  • Experience with AI/LLMs, agentic systems, or AI-powered developer tools.
  • Experience with automated code generation, test generation, program analysis, or developer productivity tooling.
  • Experience integrating software with source code, engineering data, logs, tests, or system telemetry.
  • Experience with Azure, virtual machines, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
  • Experience with virtualization or systems-level software development.
  • Experience building engineering automation or developer tools.
  • Experience working in research-oriented or highly exploratory software engineering environments.


Salary Range

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.

For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $100,000-$110,000 USD annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
