Full Job Description
You'll oversee LivaNova's social media channels - developing platform-specific plans, managing the content calendar, publishing, engagement, and reporting - while working alongside External Communications to maintain a unified organizational content calendar. You'll also contribute to thought leadership and expert-led content that elevates LivaNova's voice and credibility across our channels. We're looking for someone who can move seamlessly from strategy to execution - bringing insight on industry trends, shaping audience and content plans, and managing channels and reporting with precision. What you'll do: Enterprise social media management • Lead enterprise social media planning, publishing, and day-to-day management across LivaNova's corporate social channels Define channel-specific strategies - including platform mix, content approach, and audience targeting - that reflect LivaNova's brand voice and serve the needs of clinician, patient, partner, and investor audiences • Monitor engagement and social conversation, manage community interactions in line with brand and compliance guidelines, and identify reputational or compliance risks for escalation as appropriate • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to source, adapt, and amplify content across channels, including opportunities where paid support may help extend reach. • Strong organizational and project management skills - able to manage a busy day-to-day social calendar while building longer-term programs in parallel • Proficiency with social media management, listening, and analytics tools • Skilled at working across functions and levels - comfortable engaging with clinicians, executives, and marketing teams alike Integrated content planning • Work alongside the Corporate Marketing and Communications team to maintain a unified organizational content calendar spanning news, announcements, executive content, campaigns, and social • Ensure social content is coordinated with major company announcements, press activity, and external communications priorities • Serve as a connecting point across Communications, Marketing, and other functions on shared content priorities and timing • Support cross-functional planning meetings and keep the calendar current so stakeholders have clear visibility into upcoming content Cross-functional collaboration • Serve as a day-to-day connector between Communications, Marketing, Innovation, and other stakeholders on content planning and social strategy • Bring a strategic perspective to how social content contributes to LivaNova's brand reputation, while remaining hands-on with execution What you bring: • 4-7+ years managing enterprise or organizational social media accounts, with experience setting direction for social channels and a strong track record on LinkedIn and other major platforms • Strong writer and editor - able to translate complex clinical or scientific content into clear, engaging copy for diverse audiences • Experience managing or contributing to a cross-functional content calendar, ideally alongside a communications, PR, or external affairs function • Comfortable working in a regulated industry - familiar with Medical, Legal, Regulatory review processes, claims discipline, adverse event awareness, and content accuracy expectations, or able to learn them quickly • Strong organizational and project management skills - able to manage a busy day-to-day social calendar while building longer-term programs in parallel • Proficiency with social media management, listening, and analytics tools • Skilled at working across functions and levels - comfortable engaging with clinicians, executives, and marketing teams alike Preferred Qualifications: • Background in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare communications • Experience working alongside or embedded within an external or corporate communications function • Experience supporting thought-leadership, expert content, or employee advocacy efforts • Familiarity with investor relations or public affairs content • Video or multimedia content experience (short-form video, executive interviews, etc.) • Support executive, subject-matter expert, and clinical leader social content, including LinkedIn posts and thought-leadership opportunities • Track and report on social performance (engagement, reach, follower growth, Share of Voice) and translate data into clear recommendations • Apply accessible and inclusive social media practices, including clear copy, captions, alt-text guidance, and platform-appropriate formatting • Manage external vendor relationships and contracts supporting social media work • Stay current on industry trends, platform developments, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices for social media in healthcare and medtech. • Work alongside the Corporate Marketing and Communications team to maintain a unified organizational content calendar spanning news, announcements, executive content, campaigns, and social • Ensure social content is coordinated with major company announcements, press activity, and external communications priorities • Serve as a connecting point across Communications, Marketing, and other functions on shared content priorities and timing • Support cross-functional planning meetings and keep the calendar current so stakeholders have clear visibility into upcoming content • Serve as a day-to-day connector between Communications, Marketing, Innovation, and other stakeholders on content planning and social strategy • Bring a strategic perspective to how social content contributes to LivaNova's brand reputation, while remaining hands-on with execution
