Full Job Description
About this Role

We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Social Media Manager to own Sage's social presence end to end. This role is responsible for how Sage and its leaders show up across social platforms, combining thoughtful content creation with active engagement, analytics, and relationship-building. You'll help translate Sage's mission, product value, and customer insights into consistent, platform-native content, including short-form and light video.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creating and managing-someone who can plan a content calendar, capture and edit a short video, write strong copy, monitor performance, respond to comments, and proactively build relationships with followers and industry voices. You'll play a key role in ensuring Sage's social channels feel human, credible, and connected to the real world of senior care.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage Sage's day-to-day social media presence across platforms including LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and others as needed
  • Create and publish platform-native content, including short-form and light video (concepting, filming, editing, and posting)
  • Write clear, compelling copy for social posts, captions, executive accounts, and occasional supporting content
  • Actively monitor comments, messages, and mentions-responding thoughtfully and fostering two-way engagement
  • Track new followers and engaged users, identifying opportunities to build relationships with customers, partners, and industry leaders
  • Monitor social media analytics and performance trends to understand what's working and inform ongoing optimization
  • Maintain a consistent posting cadence and content calendar aligned with company priorities
  • Partner closely with marketing, leadership, and subject matter experts to surface stories, insights, and moments worth sharing
  • Stay current on platform changes, trends, and best practices-bringing ideas forward while staying grounded in Sage's brand and audience

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, company, or organization
  • Demonstrated ability to create and edit short-form or light video content for social platforms
  • Strong writing skills, especially for concise, brand-aligned social copy
  • Experience working directly within social platforms (admin, posting, analytics, engagement)
  • Comfort managing multiple accounts and priorities with a high degree of ownership
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to maintain a consistent brand voice
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools and performance reporting
  • Ability to balance strategy, execution, and responsiveness in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with executives/founders on content creation
  • Background in B2B, healthcare, technology, or mission-driven organizations
  • Experience growing engaged audiences-not just follower counts
  • Bonus: comfort with lightweight design tools or templates for social visuals

Benefits and Pay

Our headquarters are located in New York City's Union Square. We believe in cross team collaboration. We think good ideas can come from anyone, and we've designed our processes to encourage participation from all. While we take our mission seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We like to host offsites, outings, and team meals where we can connect as people, not just as colleagues. We offer office lunch and a fully stocked snack bar. While we are an in-office culture, we allow up to 2 remote days per week.

Our benefits package for employees includes competitive base compensation along with stock options. The expected annual salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000 USD, depending upon the job level, which will depend on your level of expertise, your experience, and your qualifications. We also provide fully-paid health and dental insurance coverage for all of our employees, along with other health benefits including vision insurance, membership to premium primary and urgent care, and online medical health providers. We also have a take-as-you-need time off policy, in addition to 7 paid holidays and a company-wide winter break during the holidays.
