JOB SUMMARY
This position requires a technical expert to lead the design, development, and optimization of complex Snowflake solutions. The role involves providing technical leadership on projects, focusing on data management, transformation, and analysis of high-volume datasets. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale data initiatives and a strong understanding of efficient platform utilization and cost management within enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex Snowflake solutions.
Act as a technical authority for platform strategy, AI adoption, and platform governance and security.
Architect and govern data ingest and egress across multiple data sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Design scalable models that support enterprise-wide capabilities and compliance.
Serve as the technical expert for alignment with global data guidelines (PII, GDPR, PIPL, CCPA).
Build and optimize analytics, dashboards, and reporting to inform decision-making.
Leverage emerging Snowflake capabilities like Streamlit, Cortex AI, and Gen AI.
Define technical patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures.
Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Security to translate goals into technical solutions.
Mentor engineers and provide architectural guidance through design and code reviews.
Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Produce high-quality technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant hands-on development on the Snowflake platform.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, Snowflake scripting, Snowpipe, and Snowpark. Experience implementing and supporting optimization reports for large volume data lakes. Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with custom Python code. Technical expertise in implementing Snowflake Data Warehousing and Medallion data lake strategies. Expertise with Security, Disaster Recovery, Data Governance, Monitoring, AI, and Enablement. Understanding of asset lifecycles, license compliance, and hardware asset governance. Experience with REST integrations, data imports, web services, and event-based integrations. Proven experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Snowflake certifications: SnowPro Core, SnowPro advanced data engineer.
Experience with high-volume data solutions such as Databricks and Azure Synapse.
One or more SnowPro advanced or specialty certifications, such as Generative AI, Snowpark, or Architect.
Experience implementing Platform Analytics and advanced Performance Analytics.
Experience with programming languages such as C# and .NET.
Understanding of platform governance, upgrade strategies, and technical debt management.
