Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring SMTS Software Development Eng. to Contribute to OpenCL and HIP Runtime. Design and develop new AI software features. Work with AMD's architecture specialists to improve future products. Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts. Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture. Participate in new ASIC and hardware bring ups. Debug/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work. Develop technical relationships with peers and partners.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:Position requires four (4) years of experience in the following:
- Object-oriented programming and C/C++;
- Writing high quality code;
- Windows, Linux and/or Android operating system development;
- Software development processes and tools, including debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub), and profilers;
- Computer graphics and architecture; and
- Performance and power optimization, analysis, and tuning.
Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:
- Modern concurrent programming and threading APIs.
