Serve as the senior technical authority and subject matter expert for the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) on cybersecurity assessments, Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation, and the security posture of Industrial Demilitarization (IDM) Industrial Control Systems (ICS). This high-impact role leads complex cybersecurity assessments across AFSC depot mission environments and helps protect critical operational technology assets in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Department of Defense, and Air Force requirements.

The incumbent provides trusted technical advice to the Senior Executive Service (SES) Authorizing Official and System Cybersecurity Authorized Representatives; represents AFSC in Air Force-level governance forums; develops continuous-monitoring strategies; and oversees definitive Security Assessment Reports and risk-based mitigation recommendations. The position directly supports resilient, secure, and mission-ready depot operations spanning unclassified, classified, and high-risk environments.

The role also advances software delivery to the warfighter at the speed of relevance by enabling DevSecOps cloud environments at multiple classification levels for critical Air Force acquisition programs. The incumbent helps build enduring organic infrastructure and technical expertise for program offices aligned with the Department of Defense's highest-priority missions. Your mission-critical responsibilities will include:

- Provides technical leadership and architectural direction for cloud-based programs, projects, and enterprise initiatives.

- Develops, evaluates, and maintains cloud architectures, standards, and solution strategies.

- Designs and evaluates cloud solutions across infrastructure, platforms, applications, data, networking, and security.

- Ensures cloud solutions align with mission requirements, enterprise standards, cybersecurity requirements, and long-term sustainment objectives.

- Identifies and assesses technical risks, dependencies, and issues and develops mitigation strategies.

- Provides technical recommendations and alternatives to leadership regarding cost, schedule, performance, security, and mission requirements.

- Reviews cloud designs, technical requirements, and proposed solutions for architectural alignment and feasibility.

- Works with project managers to identify technical dependencies, estimate technical impacts, and support project milestones and schedules.

- Coordinates with program and contract personnel to ensure cloud-related requirements and deliverables are understood and achievable.

- Communicates complex cloud and technical issues and recommendations to senior leaders, customers, and nontechnical stakeholders.

- Promotes collaboration, information sharing, and effective technical decision-making across organizational boundaries.

- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to cloud and technical personnel.

- Represents the organization in technical reviews, customer engagements, working groups, and other forums.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- The employee is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance commensurate with the position sensitivity code and must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs information and Sensitive Compartmented Information

- May be required to travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.

- Must maintain Cyberspace Qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140, para 4.2.a.(2)

- Drug testing designated position and subject to random testing for drug use

- Experience identifying and managing technical risks and dependencies.

- Strong communication, briefing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
