Summary

Duties

Help

  • You will serve as the Test Section Head for Sea Launch Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N).
  • You will provide overall planning, direction, and success of key test programs, systems development efforts, and/or testing initiatives for SLCM-N.
  • You will lead strategic planning to determine goals, objectives, direction, and priorities of assigned organization, program, or project to meet mission critical requirements.
  • You will provide expertise and advice on planning across a broad range of testing programs.
  • You will advise on financial and contracting problems and challenges and makes substantive recommendations for solutions.
  • You will negotiate and integrate functions with customer needs in support of managing efforts into a comprehensive management plan.
  • You will serve as a recognized authority in the development and interpretation of testing management and policies and guidelines.
  • You will manage team activities, progress, and scheduling to ensure successful project performance.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, coordinating, and evaluating test and evaluation (T&E) activities by integrating test planning, design, analysis, resource and data management, risk assessment, and reporting to ensure comprehensice evaluation of system performance and support program decision-making.

This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission.
