We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives across the organization.
What You'll Do- Design and develop robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and AWS services
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using CDK or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Implement data modeling solutions with focus on performance, scalability, and usability
- Develop and optimize data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms
What You'll Bring- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python programming
- Hands-on experience with CDK or Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred over CloudFormation)
- Proficiency in TypeScript or other strongly-typed languages (Java, C, C++, C#, RUST)
- Strong AWS experience including Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions
- Proven expertise in data modeling, denormalization strategies, and trade-off analysis
- Experience designing and building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong background in data warehousing and cloud data platforms (Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres)
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using CDK or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Implement data modeling solutions with focus on performance, scalability, and usability
- Develop and optimize data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms
- Write high-quality, maintainable code following software engineering best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $70 to $95. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
