Responsibilities & QualificationsTraining ObjectivesThe Skillbridge Intern will participate in a structured internship designed to bridge the gap between Department of the War acquisition processes and private sector program management.
- Translate government acquisition requirements into technical execution plans
- Support and manage technical programs and operational delivery environments
- Develop solutions aligned to customer requirements, including infrastructure and networking systems
- Analyze and respond to RFIs/RFPs from an industry perspective
- Apply government acquisition knowledge to improve industry capture strategies
- Support business development activities including pipeline management and customer engagement
- Communicate technical and business solutions through briefings, reports, and proposals
Phase 1: Technical Program Management & Operational Delivery (Days 1-49)Observe the solutioning lifecycle, gaining insight into how commercial "Try, Decide, Buy" models are architected for diverse customer needs.
Focus on Theater Deployable Communications (TDC) execution, technical project management, and exposure to infrastructure and BIM workflows under the guidance of Solutions Team.
- Participate in TDC program execution and planning activities
- Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Track risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
- Support BIM coordination and infrastructure planning
- Participate in technical meetings and operational reviews
- Exposure to ACC Raptortown if active during training period

- Technical program brief

Phase 2: Solutions Development, Proposal Writing & Technical Architecture (Days 50-91)Solutions & Proposal Development (3 Weeks)
- Work with Solutions and Proposals on RFI/RFP analysis
- Develop technical approaches and proposal content
- Learn how industry dissects RFIs/RFPs
- Provide insight into government RFI development practices
CTO Rotation (2 Weeks)
- Work with CTO
- Review enterprise architecture and integration
- Understand hybrid and cloud integration within mission systems
Technology Focus
- Enterprise WiFi at scale (VA environments)
- Dell 5G ORAN solution analysis
- Map technologies to DoD and enterprise requirements

Phase 3: Business Development, Capture & Customer Engagement (Days 92-120)Study the strategic business development lifecycle under executive mentorship, focusing on market analysis and long-term capture strategies.
- Develop and manage opportunity pipeline tracker
- Conduct opportunity analysis and qualification
- Support capture planning and strategy
- Prepare for and participate in VA WiFi customer engagement
- Document customer interactions and follow-on actions
Deliverables:
- Capture plan

- Go/No-Go decision briefing
