Responsibilities

Peraton requires Network Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

This position offers an opportunity for experienced network professionals to take on advanced responsibilities in defending USSOCOM’s global operations. The Journeyman Network Administrator will play a pivotal role in enhancing SOC capabilities, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the security and resilience of systems critical to USSOCOM’s mission success.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

Network Administrator (LAN/WAN)

  • Monitors the LAN and WAN equipment and circuits utilizing Riverbed Event Manager.
  • Performs initial triage and resolves or escalates technical problems for established networks.
  • Serves as the technical specialist in network problems and emergencies; assists in
  • troubleshooting and resolution of network production problems.
  • Maintains network operations, expansion, and potential abuse through enterprise network
  • intrusion detection system, firewalls, and VPN devices.
  • Works with configuration management in network design implementation and configuration
  • validation.
  • Maintains documentation, which may include CMDB information, as-built drawings, circuit
  • inventory, equipment inventory, configurations, and training materials.
  • Performs project work as assigned by the Senior Team members.
  • Accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government
  • policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems.
  • Administers LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and configuration control measures.
  • Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot the network.
  • Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of links.
  • Documents and maintains network topologies.
  • Resolves ticket requests, works to resolve incidents, and escalates to the Engineering team when
  • required.
  • Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues.
  • 40 hours a week, the hours for this position will be Sun-0600-1800, Mon 0600-1600, Tues 0600-
  • 1600, and Wed 0600-1400. It is shift work, schedule subject to change, Based upon vacancy

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years with AS/AA; 2 years with BS/BA
  • High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance is required for this role
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification and CCNA
  • Technical Experience: At least one (1) year of prior experience as a Network Administrator or IT Specialist.

Highly Desirable:

  • Compliance with DoW 8140 under the Work Role Code 441- Intermediate level or higher.  Must be completed by 01Oct26.

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
