Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Survey Coordinator to support our construction and earthworks operations. This field-based role is responsible for construction layout, GPS survey support, machine control systems, and as-built data collection. The successful candidate will work closely with site crews, foremen, superintendents, and suppliers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Perform construction layout and as-built surveying for various projects. Provide field support for GPS survey equipment and machine control systems. Collect, verify, and compile as-built information from project sites. Collaborate with site supervisors and foremen to ensure survey accuracy and project requirements are met. Assist with the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GPS survey and machine control equipment. Coordinate with equipment suppliers regarding system maintenance and technical support. Verify aggregate, excavation, and fill volumes and investigate discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to survey activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 1-3 years of surveying, construction, or related experience is considered an asset. Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, Construction Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and site plans. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Valid Class G Driver's License. Willingness to travel between project sites and work occasional overtime as required. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Working Conditions
  • Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, plus on-call for weekends
  • Intermediate physical effort; walking long distances on uneven ground carrying equipment and supplies. Extreme exposure to environmental conditions; working outdoors all year.
