Full Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to join one of the federal contracting clients in Washington, DC supporting a DoD program. The SSHO will be vital part in ensuring all safety protocols are followed on the construction site. Additional responsibilities include develop and implement safety policies, conduct inspections, training, incident investigation, documentation, compliance, emergency planning, and equipment safety. This is a fully onsite position - 5 days a week.

Day to day:
• Create and enforce health and safety policies in accordance with regulations
• Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Lead safety training sessions for employees and managers to educate them on safety procedures and risks
• Investigate accidents and unsafe conditions
• Develop strategies to prevent future occurrences
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and safety measures
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations
• Develop and update emergency procedures and conduct drills
• Oversee the safe installation and maintenance of equipment
