Full Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a driven and experienced Site Project Manager for our growing team in Hagerstown, MD. Qualified applicants should have a thorough understanding of site excavation, utility installation, concrete curb placement, stone base, and bituminous asphalt placement.

The ideal candidate will effectively manage client relations with the ability to create and oversee schedules and be responsible for budgets while working jointly with project teams on multiple projects.

Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

Typical Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Negotiate and purchase materials, services, and subcontracts for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Superintendent to establish a construction schedule and ensure projects are adequately staffed to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Review and approve submittals for shop drawings and material samples, adhering to established schedules.
  • Conduct project start-up meetings and ongoing project conference meetings and prepare comprehensive minutes in line with company standards.
  • Work closely with civil engineers, vendors, estimators, and on-site supervisors to ensure timely and profitable project completion.
  • Revise budget reports to reflect actual prices upon receipt of contracts or commitments, while monitoring project costs and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Regularly visit project sites to assess progress, compliance, and quality of work.
  • Prepare change order requests, coordinate estimating processes, and document any alterations to project scope or design.
  • Meet with subcontractors to review progress and implement strategies to meet project schedules.
  • Oversee quality control measures including meetings, inspections, testing, and final assessments.
  • With the assistance of the Estimator and Superintendent, establish a construction schedule (i.e., CPM and bar chart)
  • Provide information from the project estimate to the Field Supervisor, as required, to properly manage a profitable project.
  • Monitor project costs prepared and report any alarming inconsistencies to management.
  • Originate, review, and distribute RFI's, manage conflicts, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior Project Management experience is strongly preferred, along with field construction experience.
  • A 2-4-year post-secondary degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, or related.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills are essential, along with strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work with all personnel within the organization and facilitate communication effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all personnel, while also possessing the independence to work autonomously.
  • Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
