Job DescriptionSun River Health is currently seeking full-time Site Medical Director to join our team supporting the Bay Street Site.Diagnosis and treatment of patients in his/her specialty area; collaboration and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician's assistants; participation in planning and developing health care services in his/her specialties, treatment of conditions and illnesses within the scope of the physician's specialty, referral and follow-up of patients when indicated, participation in after hours coverage to insure 24-hour availability of care for Center patients. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards.

**** $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible External Applicants - Terms and Conditions Apply **** Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Site Medical Director:- Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his /her specialty following evidence based standard of care.
- Provides off hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so.
- Designs and participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews.
- Provides supervision for clinical activities of Medical providers and medical documentation in his/her department, including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage, follow-up procedures.
- Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRH patients outside the Health Center.
- Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty; participates in the development of programs to carry out these standards.
- Maintains legible and appropriate documentation of medical records.
- Participates and attends provider meetings
- Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures that nurse practitioners are trained to do and are necessary for practicing in health care centers.
- Competence in delivery of health care to patients (including preventative health education)
- Ability to collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written) is preferred
- Minimum Education Requirement: Doctorate Degree (including MD/DO)
- Minimum Licensure: Board Certification, Physician License, and CPR/BLS
