Full Job Description
Your Tasks:
Responsible for construction projects in all aspects, from conception to completion; review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and pay attention to job site costs; responsible for oversight and compliance monitoring by internal and external construction site personnel with legal obligations and company provisions regarding health and safety at work; ensure that all projects, initiatives and processes comply with the policies and objectives established by the company organization; ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting issues; responsible for overseeing the use of construction equipment and machinery; resolve problems and implement improvements in construction processes; maintain communication between project managers, site staff, and clients; plan daily work schedules and coordinate workers on site; inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards; coordinate construction workers and subcontractors; ensure materials are supplied and work is completed on schedule; prepare and submit project reports and job site budget; coordinate the reception and sorting activities of material on site; document and report progress to stakeholders and adhere to compliance regulations; develop detailed project schedules, including task sequencing, resource allocation and critical milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines; utilize product development, planning management, mechanical and structural design, strategic planning, and Lean Manufacturing to perform duties; conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications; coordinate all on-site activities, including material procurement and workforce allocation to ensure effective execution; follow the start-up and testing of the system through functional and performance tests, coordinating all mechanical and electrical set-up activities, seeking solutions for any anomalies and instructing, where necessary, the personnel in charge in order to make start-up of the plant; maintain accurate project documentation including records of site activities, progress reports, change orders and as-built drawings; collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to address project requirements, provide regular updates and ensure client satisfaction; foster a positive work environment, providing leadership, guidance and support to the team and encouraging productivity; resolve any issues or conflicts during construction, implementing appropriate solutions and escalating when necessary; and participate and support the site safety program and Durr quality program.
Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $87,200 per year
Your Skills:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Manufacturing Engineer, as a Mechanical Designer, as a Mechanical Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years' use of all the following: product development, planning management, mechanical and structural design, strategic planning, and Lean Manufacturing.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
