Description:

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting for a Site Lead at Foothills Medical Centre. This position is responsible for patient care, faculty development and administrative activities within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Foothills Medical Centre, and is the first individual to receive, review and collate responses to patient concerns/feedback, as well as operational concerns related to quality and safety at the Site. The Site Lead will perform annual and semi-annual performance reviews of medical staff, filing reports to the Department and Medical Affairs. The Site Lead is the first administrative liaison between allied health, nursing and other medical staff at the site. The Site Lead assists and collaborates with the Zone Clinical Department Head to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the Corridor Clinical Department. The position will also work in collaboration with the Corridor Section Chiefs of UroGynecology, Gyne-Oncology and Maternal Fetal Medicine as well as the departmental and regional program Medical Leaders to assist with issues relevant to their site. The Site Lead will also participate in Department Executive Meetings and provide input to the Annual Report. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and preference will be given to a candidate with Royal College Subspecialty Certification, with special areas of interest in vaginal reconstructive surgery, incontinence surgery, and have administrative interest. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cumming School of Medicine University of Calgary.

Qualifications:

FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.
