Full Job Description
HDR is hiring a Site Civil Engineer to support our Orlando and Tampa offices. Primary Responsibilities: - Lead site civil engineering design efforts for site civil engineering related to buildings, facilities, and infrastructure projects across diverse market sectors, including: - Residential, commercial, and industrial developments - Water/wastewater systems - Municipal and federal projects - Power and data center facilities - Serve as the Civil Engineer of Record when required. - Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project phases-from initial planning through construction documentation and administration. - Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, engineering calculations and reports. - Manage permitting processes with federal, state, and local agencies - Review shop drawings and provide support during the construction phase. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university. - Minimum of 4 years of experience in site civil/land development design for buildings or infrastructure, including: - Demolition - Erosion control - Site layout - Stormwater management - Grading and drainage - Utility design - Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR/Stormwise, WaterCAD, and StormCAD. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams. - Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously - Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, technically sound designs with minimal supervision. - Experience serving as Engineer of Record on previous projects. - Proposal writing experience - Project management experience - Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm. - Preference given to local candidates. #LI-HO1 Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Previous experience in general civil engineering - Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
