Description

This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your civil engineering degree and skills, while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with other engineers and/or designers in the design, modification, and analysis of substations, transmission lines and similar power delivery systems.

 

As a Site Civil Engineer, you will:

  • Work on a wide range of substation and transmission line projects and perform civil site development work including creating and reviewing calculations, designs, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, client personnel, contractors, suppliers, and permitting agency personnel as necessary to ensure a complete and timely design.
  • Work with senior civil engineers and civil designers in taking on and completing civil engineering project work.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of spending three days in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • PE license preferred.
  • 3 or more years of working in a project team environment in the civil design of industrial projects, commercial development, power delivery experience, with specific experience in substation site grading and drainage design, erosion and sediment control plans and details, storm water management, SWPPP preparation, SPCC plans, transmission line construction pads and access road design.
  • Experience in technical writing for reports, calculations, and specifications for civil engineering activities.
  • Experience in preparing, reviewing, submitting, and obtaining site related design and environmental permits from a wide variety of regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following civil engineering design tools: AutoDesk Civil 3D and AutoTurn.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a team environment is essential.
  • This position will require travel to client's sites
Compensation Range$72,690.00 - $106,250.00 Transparency StatementSargent & Lundy discloses compensation ranges that comply with all local and state regulations. The total compensation package for eligible positions will include a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package, reflecting our commitment to rewarding performance and supporting the overall well-being of our employees.
