POSITION SUMMARY

The SIOP Project Assistant Manager is responsible for leading planning and coordination activities for mechanical and plumbing prefabrication. This role aligns demand, capacity, labor, materials, schedule, and delivery requirements to support reliable shop execution and on-time project commitments.

As a manager-level planning leader within the SIOP function, this position serves as the primary link between SIOP, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and Operational Excellence, with direct ownership of prefab planning, readiness, and coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) planning for mechanical and plumbing prefab scope.
  • Translate project demand into executable production and delivery plans.
  • Build and maintain constrained plans based on labor, equipment, material, and facility capacity.
  • Identify and escalate shortages, bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
  • Coordinate readiness across engineering release, material availability, labor capability, and schedule.
  • Track and report forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, plan adherence, shortage trends, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Production and OpEx to improve planning discipline, KPI visibility, and standardization.
  • Performance Measures
    • Planning effectiveness, including forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, plan adherence, and production schedule adherence.
    • Execution and readiness performance, including on-time delivery, shortage trends, and overall readiness performance.
  • Core Interfaces: This role works closely with the following key partners:
    • SIOP leadership and planning teams
    • Production managers and supervisors
    • Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering
    • Operational Excellence
    • Quality and EHS
    • Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics
    • Finance and business leadership, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting mechanical or plumbing prefabrication.
