As Shop Foreperson you will be reporting to the Service Manager your main responsibilities will be providing both technical and administrative support to the technicians during the day- to day business operations, maintaining service quality, assisting in profitability and ensuring safe work practices are adhered to. We are looking to fill our day shift. Responsibilities • Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company's Health and Safety Policy. • Providing both technical and administrative support to technicians during the day-to-day business operations. • Maintains service quality and assisting, when possible, on jobs (on shop floor). • Strives for harmony with all departments with a strong focus on teamwork and exceptional customer service. • Maintains contact with service customers on a timely basis and in a professional manner. • Communicates with the Service Advisor on a timely basis, to schedule shop work efficiently and check on job status as often as necessary. • Motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of technicians. • Ensures that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures. • Prepares repair estimates when required. • Reviews technicians' repair orders to ensure all information is complete and accurate before the next job is assigned to each technician. • Keeps up to date with the most current information, through training and service letters on technological advances. • Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment • Other related duties as requested.
