Full Job Description
Own development of Shark Beauty demonstrations and product stories that bring product superiority to life. Work hands-on with products to identify the strongest proof points and determine the right way to demonstrate them, whether that is a dramatic before-and-after, a scroll-stopping wow, or another experience that makes the benefit immediately clear. Be the product expert for Shark Beauty Experience. Develop a deep understanding of Shark Beauty products, prototypes, competitive products, consumer needs, and the reasons our products perform differently. Be the person internal teams and external experts can rely on to understand what the product does, why it matters, and how it should be experienced. Work inside the lab to figure out what the wow is. Partner day-to-day with the Shark Beauty Lab and salon team to test prototypes, evaluate competitive products, and pressure-test performance, usability, claims, and routines so the business can understand what consumers will actually feel and notice. Use Experience to help the business win. Partner closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Social/Creative, and PR to understand the business objective, audience, and product advantage, then translate those inputs into demonstrations and experiences that strengthen launches, sell-in, education, content, and product storytelling. Bring the outside world in early. Work directly with relevant experts, creators, affiliates, influencers, and other external voices to get products into real hands and real routines. Turn what you learn into actionable feedback for Product, Performance, and Marketing teams. Lead the team and stay in the work. Lead and develop a small team of demo stylists and specialists, setting a high bar for quality and clear accountability. This role is not execution-light; the Manager should be capable of developing, refining, and executing demos personally when the work calls for it. Build a capability, not a collection of one-off demos. Help establish the tools, standards, libraries, and ways of working that allow the strongest Shark Beauty demonstrations and learnings to be repeated, improved, and scaled across products and audiences. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Experience in beauty, consumer products, product demonstration, experiential marketing, product education, product development, or a closely related field. • Strong hands-on product instincts and the ability to turn functional or technical product performance into compelling demonstrations, stories, and experiences. • A self-starter mindset: comfortable entering an ambiguous problem, getting hands-on, developing a point of view, testing ideas, and moving toward an answer without waiting for a playbook. • Experience working cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Creative/Social, PR, or similar partners. • Ability to lead and develop a small team while remaining a strong individual contributor. • Strong creative judgment paired with the curiosity and rigor to understand what consumers want, why they want it, and how product performance enables that outcome. • Comfort working hands-on with prototypes and competitive products and giving direct feedback on performance, usability, claims, routines, and the overall experience. • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work credibly with internal leaders, external experts, and partners. • Beauty experience or expertise across haircare, skincare, wellness, home environment, or related categories preferred • Experience as a stylist, esthetician, beauty educator, or in a dermatologist-adjacent role preferred • Experience developing before-and-after demonstrations, visible transformations, social-first product content, retailer education, or other high-impact product experiences. • Experience working in a lab, salon, education, or other hands-on product testing environment preferred Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts (HSA) with company contribution, 401(k) retirement plan with matching, employee stock purchase program, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance, generous paid time off, company holidays, parental leave, identity theft protection, pet insurance, pre-paid legal insurance, back-up child and eldercare days, product discounts, referral bonus program, and more. Pay Range $110,000-$130,000 USD
