Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Recruiter manages full life-cycle recruiting in a high-volume environment, from sourcing and screening through interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation. This role independently handles a large number of open requisitions, builds strong partnerships with hiring managers, and ensures a smooth and positive experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Responsibilities
  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting for a high volume of open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer acceptance.
  • Build credibility and strong working relationships with hiring managers through subject matter expertise, positive influence, realistic expectation-setting, and consistent delivery on commitments.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of each open position, including required experience, skills, and competencies needed for success.
  • Manage internal transfers and facilitate HR compliance, interview logistics, and compensation review processes.
  • Screen and qualify candidates based on requirements defined in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback and status updates, guiding candidates through each stage of the process, and negotiating and delivering fair and equitable offers.
  • Navigate and update applicant tracking system (ATS) requisitions and job postings daily, including third-party job board postings.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to fill open roles effectively and efficiently using recruitment best practices.
  • Collaborate with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to start date.
  • Coach hiring managers on interviewing techniques, decision-making, and compliant hiring practices.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using diverse recruitment channels to build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of hiring needs.
  • Research and recommend new sources and platforms for active and passive candidate recruitment.
  • Negotiate employment offers and successfully close candidates.
  • Develop recruiting materials and prepare print advertisements and job board postings, while monitoring and maintaining the internal job page.
  • Draft and prepare offer letters and employment agreements in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Follow all corporate hiring policies and practices, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, professional groups, and employee referrals to expand talent pipelines.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment reporting and contribute to the development of improved reporting metrics.
  • Assist with ad hoc recruitment and HR-related projects as needed.

Essential Skills

Work Environment
This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, within a 35-hour work week. The role is primarily remote, with periodic travel to the Peekskill office and to career fairs as determined in collaboration with the supervisor, which may be approximately 1-2 times per month depending on the time of year. The organization provides comprehensive primary, preventive, and behavioral health services across multiple locations, with a mission-driven focus on serving underserved and vulnerable communities. Work is conducted using applicant tracking systems, online recruiting platforms, and standard office and communication technologies in a professional, collaborative environment that emphasizes respect, accessibility, and high-quality service.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peekskill, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
