Responsibilities

A35 & Decarbonization Sales Development Manager

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the A35 & Decarbonization Sales Development Manager, you will be a part of the Aero Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) business where you will support the development and commercialization of product and service offerings related to decarbonization and SGT-A35 opportunities, including upgrades to products and services. In this role, you will develop, analyze, and track opportunities in decarbonization and SGT-A35 solutions, collaborating closely with functional teams within Aero Gas Turbines. You will be responsible for maintaining cost models, evaluating business cases, and continuously developing standardized tools and processes to support the Marketing and Sales function. As part of a team of Commercialization Managers, you will work collaboratively across global disciplines within Siemens Energy, contributing to the AGT business's growth in supplying gas turbines to the oil & gas and power generation markets in over 80 countries. This is a permanent, office-based role with a flexible working policy that allows for remote work from your office base.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Build close working relationships with central and regional sales teams to analyze the AGT Global sales pipeline for modifications and upgrades, understanding market trends, customer spending, and service offering segmentation.
  • Collaborate with Product Strategy and Product Management teams to support strategy development and rollout, while developing complex SGT-A35 projects and providing expert technical and commercial advice during pre-sale discussions.
  • Work with the Regional Marketing Executive to validate AGT order intake forecasts and establish global forecasts, developing sales strategies and pricing guidelines for SGT-A35 modifications and upgrades.
  • Create and present indicative pricing documents for SGT-A35 opportunities, guiding teams to develop feasible plans within cost, time, and environmental constraints, while resolving technical and commercial issues to secure order entry.
  • Collaborate with the commercialization manager to launch new SGT-A35 products, identifying launch customers, creating marketing campaigns, and developing marketing materials and value propositions for product and service offerings.
  • Provide training to regional sales teams on existing AGT products/services, new products, and business operations, while supporting the T&I team with market feedback for new product and service development based on customer requirements.
  • Identify, develop, and deliver suitable AGT decarbonization commercial solutions, reviewing AGT customers to target proactive approaches and communicating decarbonization opportunities within the business to support growth and R&D funding.
  • Drive the generation of new service ideas from concept to commercial realization, conducting business case analysis and development across the service business, including market and competitor analysis, NPV analysis, and continuous improvements.
  • Develop sales materials, including presentations, commercial pricing strategies, value selling tools, and winning guides, while supporting sales teams in strategy development and customer presentations.
  • Perform market analysis related to customer net-zero goals, government regulations, and carbon tax developments, and support decarbonization activities, reviews, working groups, and events as required.
What You Bring
  • An MBA or equivalent graduate degree, experience in product marketing strategy, and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of aero gas turbine products and the Oil & Gas market, along with experience in a sales role to understand market dynamics and sales strategies.
  • Strong interest in decarbonization and developing a decarbonization portfolio, with preferred experience in decarbonization initiatives.
  • Solid technical background with the ability to collaborate with the extended AGT decarbonization team to identify, develop, and deliver suitable solutions.
  • Experience in building business cases and calculating return on investment (ROI) for business R&D initiatives, along with familiarity with go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new products and services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, demonstrating an innovative, systematic, and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications, as well as expertise in sales software (CRM/Sales Force).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with good presentation abilities and experience interfacing with senior management for strategy approvals.
  • Sufficient experience with the SGT-A35 product to develop opportunities and project strategies, as well as to train others effectively
