Job Description
We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations within the Bank’s ServiceNow platform, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SAM Pro, SecOps, HRSD, SPM/ITBM, BCM, Crisis Management, AI Control Tower, Service Portal, and custom enterprise applications, while ensuring compliance with business, technical, security, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate solution options, and translate business needs into epics, user stories, technical designs, and development tasks.
- Design, configure, develop, test, and implement ServiceNow solutions by applying platform best practices, scalable configurations, and maintainable design patterns.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow components, including forms, tables, service catalog items, record producers, workflows, Flow Designer solutions, business rules, client scripts, notifications, ACLs, portals, dashboards, and reports.
- Design, develop, and support integrations between ServiceNow and internal or third-party systems using approved integration patterns, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, defects, incidents, and enhancement requests, conducting root cause analyses when required.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and traceability records, ensuring that requirements, development activities, test results, deployments, and operational support activities are properly documented.
- Perform unit testing, support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), maintain testing evidence, and remediate identified defects.
- Support production releases and deployments, including change requests, implementation plans, validation activities, rollback procedures, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Support Agile delivery activities, deployments, and project governance processes while providing regular status updates and collaborating with project teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and support teams.
- Perform any other related activities or deliverables as required.
Qualifications
- University or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent and proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, including the design, development, implementation, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent and proven experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SAM Pro, SecOps, HRSD, SPM/ITBM, BCM, Crisis Management, and custom enterprise applications within large and complex organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, configuration, and support of ServiceNow components, including workflows, service catalogs, portals, scripts, reports, integrations, and platform automation capabilities.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving incidents, defects, and platform-related issues within ServiceNow while effectively collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience documenting requirements, technical designs, configuration changes, testing activities, and deployment activities, as well as facilitating technical discussions to support solution design and implementation decisions.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow development practices, including: JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), REST/SOAP Integrations, Import Sets, Transform Maps, Update Sets, or equivalent deployment approaches.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL practices, Agile delivery methodologies, and ServiceNow platform governance, including development standards, release management practices, and maintainability considerations.
- Must be eligible to obtain the following security clearance: Reliability Status (requires a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable personal history).
- Excellent communication skills in English. English is required, as the position is based in Ottawa.
