Responsibilities

  • Perform all rigging phases for service line equipment both onshore and offshore under supervision.
  • Plan equipment set-up, well site direction, and customer support activities.
  • Maintain, test, and operate equipment at customer locations and field camps.
  • Mentor and train lower-level Service Operators and Assistants.
  • Monitor instruments and perform calculations for data quality assurance.
  • Consult with customers on services and products to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct pre-job safety meetings and manage job plan reviews with customer representatives.

Job Duties

  • Under general supervision, performs all phases of the rigging up and down of service line equipment on work locations both on and offshore.
  • Provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well site direction, and customer related support activities.
  • Responsible for the activities relative to maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating equipment at the customer location and field camp.
  • Mentors and trains lower level Service Operators and Operator Assistants in areas of expertise.
  • Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to ensure quality of the data at well.
  • Consults with customers concerning services and products, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and ensures customer satisfaction with results.
  • Checks and verifies equipment as per job plan, properly maintains equipment and completes all job documentation.
  • Conducts pre- job toolbox safety meetings, reviews and verifies job plan with customer representative and manages any changes required.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 6+ years experience in oil field drilling activities including 4+ years of underbalanced drilling and/or managed pressure drilling.
  • Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Service Specialist II-GBA.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required.
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered.
