This position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

As a Service Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our ambitious revenue growth objectives . This early sales career development position is designed for individuals aspiring to advance into a Business Development Manager role in the future. You will be the key point of contact for many customers , and partners with immediate and urgent needs, requiring a blend of technical knowledge, quick learning, and creative problem-solving that allows the right candidate to handle multiple work streams at one time.

The work model for the role is: Remote {#LI-Remote}, this role provides support for the East Coast and will require East Coast working hours.

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and partners, being sensitive to their needs. Establish and maintain customer relationships, learning and evaluating customer operations to identify objectives, requirements, and preferences.
  • Assist outside sales personnel with quotations, order processing/management, customer interactions, and internal communication with ABB factories and Aftermarket teams. Work with Commercial Proposal Managers, Application Engineers, and Customers as required.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Field website-generated service requests. Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales managers for further development and closure.
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors to strengthen relationships with ABB partner organizations (IBC, Critical Power, Utility, etc.). Coordinate with Aftermarket Parts Channel Managers and Sales as required.
  • Support closing orders and achieving quarterly and yearly sales targets.
  • Generate Standard and Configured to Order proposals. Assist the front-end sales team in new customer setup and existing customer account changes.
  • Work with factory teams to secure material pricing as necessary. Process product & service quotations and drive continuous follow-up throughout the customer's purchasing cycle. Process orders once received and ensure proper handoff to operations.
  • Gather and report information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and market trends to management, assisting in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
  • Maintain attention to detail and quality to meet deadlines consistently.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with 0-3 years of sales or marketing experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2-4 years of sales or marketing experience.
  • Experience in proposal or quote development, sales support, or order administration is strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems is preferred.
  • Previous experience with business-to-business customer support is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another technical discipline is preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience with Empower and SAP tools are preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually.
