Full Job Description
The Service Parts Logistics Planning Manager is responsible for leading global demand planning for all 3rd party repair centers and CONMED repair centers, supply planning, and parts availability strategies across the service parts network. This role ensures optimal inventory positioning, high service levels, and cost-efficient operations to support aftermarket and service organizations worldwide.

The position partners cross-functionally with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, regional service operations, and commercial teams to deliver best-in-class service performance and customer satisfaction. This position will drive global transformational activities to develop a world class process.

This position reports to Sr. Director- Supply Chain and will work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Global Demand Planning
  • Lead development of the global service parts demand planning process, including forecasts, validation, and continuous improvement
  • Implement statistical forecasting models and incorporate business intelligence (failures, installed base, lifecycle data)
  • Collaborate with regional teams and commercial partners to align consensus demand plans across geographies
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and key KPIs, driving corrective actions as needed
  • Manage demand variability and planning strategies for long-tail and intermittent demand parts

Supply Planning & Inventory Management
  • Own global supply planning processes to ensure alignment between supply, demand, and inventory targets at repair centers
  • Drive inventory optimization strategies balancing service levels and working capital
  • Develop and manage replenishment policies, safety stock strategies, and order parameters at global repair centers
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure supply continuity and responsiveness
  • Lead exception management (shortages, disruptions, constraints) and mitigation plans

Part Availability & Service Level Performance
  • Accountable for global service parts availability and fill rate performance
  • Establish and manage KPIs such as fill rate, backorder levels, lead time adherence, and inventory turns
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for service level gaps
  • Develop strategies to improve critical part availability and reduce downtime impact

Global Network & Stakeholder Leadership
  • Partner with regional supply chain teams to standardize planning processes and tools globally
  • Lead S&OP / IBP inputs for service parts demand and supply planning
  • Lead product allocation decisions when required
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, trade-offs, and execution plans
  • Support network design and inventory placement strategies for global distribution centers

Process & Systems Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, tools, and data quality
  • Lead implementation and optimization of planning systems (SAP-IBP or other APS and forecasting tools)
  • Establish standard work, governance, and best practices across regions
  • Leverage analytics and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 7-10+ years of experience in global demand planning, supply planning, or service parts logistics
  • 1 year of experience managing global or multi-regional supply chain operations
  • 1 year of experience with inventory management, forecasting, and supply planning principles
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder)

Preferred
  • Master's degree or MBA
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Experience in aftermarket/service parts environments with high SKU complexity and intermittent demand
  • Knowledge of installed base and failure rate forecasting methodologies
  • Experience leading transformational projects
  • Proven track record of driving service level improvements and inventory optimization
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
