Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN degree and current Colorado license; BSN preferred.
Minimum 3 years RN experience in acute care or surgical services; management experience required.
BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS or ENPC/PALS within 9 months of hire and current thereafter.
Strong understanding of nursing processes, communication, problem-solving, and assessment skills.
Responsibilities

About the Department:
The Surgical Services Department at Montrose Regional Health is committed to provide quality surgical services and improve the quality of life for our patients. We provide surgical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
About The Career:
The Service Line Director of Surgical Services leads strategic, growth, budgetary and operational objectives for the Surgical Services department. Functions as the head of the Surgical Services leadership team and is responsible for coordination of the entire health care team in the Surgical Services Department (operating room, pre-op, same day surgery, PACU, pain clinic, infusions, GI suite, pre-admission testing, and scheduling) for adult and pediatric patients. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of both clinical and leadership duties by maintaining a suitable environment for patient care; assisting staff with ethical, legal and patient/family advocacy issues; demonstrating knowledge and clinical expertise and aiding staff to develop the same; as well as developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems that support the clinical practice in the department. Holds staff accountable for performing and delivering patient care that is consistent with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values as well as the organization's strategic plan.
All About You:
