Position Highlights

A Brief Overview

Serves as the Avera Medical Group (AMG) liaison to executive sponsors, system leaders, service line leaders, business unit leaders and operations teams for management of AMG Service Line activities and principles. Provides consultative and leadership support to assigned entities and executives throughout the system in activities related to AMG development, refinement, initiative scoping, resourcing, alignment, and metric development and tracking. Leads project and process improvement initiatives as needed to support the overall responsibilities of AMG.

What you will do
  • Supports the development and directs Avera Medical Group (AMG) Service Line strategy and its connection to the overall priorities and strategic goals of Avera.
  • Leads planning activities to identify and refine impactful AMG goals and initiatives, then prioritize and define implementation steps.
  • Prioritizes discussions to clarify, communicate, align, and cascade system-wide initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Provides required information and dashboards to leaders at all levels in developing measurable and attainable goals.
  • Partners with leaders to drive innovation and challenge the status quo. Evaluates and recommends industry best practices to AMG leaders.
  • Utilizes and champions AMG best practices to develop and execute plans and facilitates teams in the design of solutions.
  • Bolsters AMG planning efforts system-wide and ensures collaboration and communication with executives and operational leaders to drive success.
  • Collaborates and provides expertise and guidance to others in the department in relation to procedures, methodology standards, and team expectations.
  • Takes lead on at-risk, high impact, complex initiatives.
  • Leads additional new AMG initiatives using project management and financial reporting as directed.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's
  • 1-3 years working experience in healthcare operations, management, or coordination in healthcare environment

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
  • Master's Healthcare or Business Administration or similar area of study
