Overview & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Service Center Manager plans, organizes, directs and maintains the responsibility for the profitability of the Service Center including all related aspects of providing total customer service and satisfaction while providing a safe and prosperous work environment for all employees.

The position is also responsible for good labor relations between hourly and supervisory personnel.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • P & L responsibilities for the overall administration of the Service Center.

  • Develop strategies to develop the facility to advance sales and return on investment.

  • Plan and organize methods to develop the facility and its personnel to implement the strategies and achieve the planned goals.

  • Monitor expenses and establish controls to ensure profitability along the lines established in the plan.

  • Implement the Elliott Quality Assurance programs and oversee ISO-9002 compliance.

  • Warranty, scrap and rework, and cost reduction planning and implementation.

  • Implement procedures to meet and achieve compliance of local and governmental regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor safety committee recommendations and implement safety programs in an attempt to minimize OSHA reportable injuries.

  • Monitor supervisory personnel performance to ensure that all personnel are treated fairly and equally.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering and/or Business Management degree preferred, or extensive experience in the turbo machinery service.

  • A minimum of five years managerial experience.

  • A proven leader and motivator.

  • Must possess strong planning and analytical skills.

  • Position requires a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of high-speed rotating equipment overhaul, installation and operation.

  • A working knowledge of chemical, petrochemical, power generation and industrial process a plus.

The expected salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionalcompensation may include a bonus or commission (ifrelevant). Additionalbenefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, vacation, sick leave, etc.
