Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SEO & AI Search Manager to lead organic search and AI discovery strategy across EnergySage, Qmerit, and EV Connect. This role will drive visibility, traffic, leads, and brand authority across traditional search engines and emerging AI platforms, including Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-powered search experiences.

Working cross-functionally with content, product, engineering, analytics, PR, and marketing teams, you will shape how our brands are discovered, understood, and cited across the evolving search landscape.

What will you do?
• Develop and execute SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies across three brands and multiple B2C and B2B audiences.
• Identify high-value keywords, topics, questions, entities, and customer journeys to grow organic visibility and qualified leads.
• Optimize websites and content for traditional search and AI-powered discovery, including Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement technical SEO improvements and resolve website issues impacting search engine and AI visibility.")
• Partner with content and subject-matter experts to develop authoritative, search-optimized content and identify opportunities for original research, data, tools, and other citation-worthy assets.
• Monitor how our brands, products, experts, and content appear across search engines and AI platforms and develop strategies to increase visibility, citations, and brand authority.
• Conduct competitive, keyword, SERP, and AI visibility analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Establish SEO and AI search measurement frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs including traffic, rankings, share of voice, leads, conversions, AI visibility, citations, and referrals.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, content, PR, and marketing teams to prioritize and implement SEO opportunities.
• Stay current on search algorithm updates, AI search developments, and evolving consumer search behavior.
• 3-5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a demonstrated track record of driving organic traffic, leads, or revenue.
• Strong expertise in technical SEO, content SEO, keyword research, search intent, site architecture, internal linking, and structured data.
• Experience developing SEO strategies across multiple websites, brands, audiences, or product categories.
• Working knowledge of AEO, GEO, and AI search, including how AI platforms discover, evaluate, summarize, and cite content.
• Experience monitoring or measuring brand visibility across AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews/AI Mode, or Perplexity.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in content management systems (CMS). Experience with Storyblok and/or WordPress is a plus.
• Experience working cross-functionally with content, engineering, product, analytics, and marketing teams.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot for research, analysis, and content optimization.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Experience in energy, electrification, EVs, SaaS, marketplaces, home services, or other high-consideration categories is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
