Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst (Level 3) to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Partner with segment level program analysts to standardize IPMDAR ( Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report ) supplier integration and validation across Sentinel


  • Keep dashboards up to date and conduct regular process audits


  • Monitor supplier EV (Earned Value) reporting and support DECM (DCMA EVMS Compliance Metrics) metric justifications, providing coaching to segment teams


  • Assist with internal and external audits


  • Manage additional tasks related to effective oversight of FFP (Firm-Fixed-Price) /T&M (Time and Materials) suppliers as needed


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related professional experience; Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experience, 1 year experience with PhD, OR 9 years of related professional experience with a high school diploma


  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling


  • Experience using Microsoft office suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point


  • Experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek Cobra


  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance (with the investigation in the past 6 years)


  • 3+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Power BI dashboards


  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.


  • Awareness of subcontracts and IWO agreements


  • Strong analytical ability.


  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.


  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.


Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
