DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an
Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in
Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the integration and test of hardware, software, and firmware test stations used for risk reduction and development of GN&C software. The selected candidate will also be involved in defining test set requirements and ensuring design and performance meet acceptance test procedure standards.
Basic Qualifications:This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T03).
- Systems Engineer (T02): Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 2 years of related experience; 0 years with a Master's or PhD
- Principal Systems Engineer (T03): Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master's; or 1 years with a PhD
Required for both levels:
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- 1+ year's of experience supporting requirement development or verification
Preferred Qualifications:- Define test requirements and test objectives, using Systems Engineering principles
- Assist the team in the development of integration and test documentation (test plans, test procedures and test reports)
- Participate in the execution of the integration, test, and assembly of the test sets in preparation for developmental flight testing
- Support the development and implement testing methods and equipment
- Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of integration and test activities
- Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component
- Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements
- Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other test scripting SW or tools.

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
