Job Description

The Sensitive Activities Policy Staff Officer III will support the HUMINT & Sensitive Activities Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)). This role involves providing oversight, developing policy, and ensuring compliance for sensitive activities and related programs.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversight and Governance:
  • Assist leadership in the conduct of oversight and governance, including staff assistance visits and compliance inspections for DoW sensitive activities and support activities.

Policy Development and Coordination:
  • Develop and coordinate staff packages that include time-sensitive requirements for leadership to enable DoW sensitive activities and support activities.
  • Provide recommendations and prepare staff packages to support updates to DoW-level policies and procedures.

Briefing and Reporting:
  • Prepare briefings, talking points, and recommended positions for meetings.
  • Produce and disseminate reports and briefings that detail DoW sensitive activities and support activities and investments for Congress and Senior Executive Branch officials.

Program Modernization:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute SECWAR-directed transformation efforts to modernize the sensitive support program, including sensitive support and security applications for intelligence, Special Operations, acquisition, support to Department of War Agency and DoW Field Activity Directors, and operations in cyberspace.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an oversight role for DoW clandestine and sensitive activities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with DoW and/or IC special access programs and related security requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with policy development, program oversight/guidance, and capabilities development and resourcing within DoW or Intelligence Community and mission integration on a military or interagency staff.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing and interpreting legislative language and impacts to DoW clandestine and sensitive activities and interacting with congressional committees on DoW/National Security Issues.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stakes environment and manage multiple priorities.
