Full Job Description
Job Description

Core4ce is seeking a Data Engineer to support DCO AI-enabled cyber security analytics at U.S. Cyber Command (USCC). The selected candidate will develop and maintain software systems and data pipelines that power USCC's analytical capabilities supporting DoDIN defense operations and hunt operations. This is a mission-critical engineering role - the systems built here directly enable the cyber defense analytics that protect DoD networks from adversary activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications and data processing systems that enable DCO analytics supporting DoDIN threat detection and cyber defense operations at DCDC
  • Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines that collect, transform, and load DoDIN security data, threat intelligence feeds, and DCO operational metrics into enterprise analytics platforms
  • Collaborate with data scientists to integrate and operationalize DCO-focused ML models within the production analytics environment supporting DCDC decision-making
  • Develop APIs, microservices, and data interfaces that connect DCO analytical tools to enterprise infrastructure and classified data sources
  • Apply software engineering best practices - version control, code review, automated testing, and documentation - within a classified DCO program environment
  • Support performance tuning and reliability improvements for data-intensive DCO applications handling multi-classification-level DoDIN security data
  • Participate in agile development ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and backlog management for DCO capability development
  • Assist with data quality assurance processes to ensure integrity of inputs feeding DCO analytical models and dashboards

*This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Minimum 6 years of software engineering or data engineering experience

  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion frameworks, and pipeline orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and cloud or on-premise storage solutions
  • Strong foundation in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

Preferred:

  • Experience with Apache NiFi, Spark, Kafka, or similar data pipeline technologies used in DoD or IC environments
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native data services in a classified context
  • Prior experience supporting DoD or IC data engineering programs, preferably DCO or cyber defense focused
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
