  • Oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including User Acceptance Testing and regression testing.

Full Job Description
The Senior Workday Functional Analyst ensures Finance can effectively operate and evolve the business process as the business grows. This role establishes a structured support and governance model replacing reactive troubleshooting with disciplined release management, continuous improvement, and improved user adoption.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Serve as the internal functional lead across Core Financials, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning workstreams - partnering with implementation partner (SI) to ensure configurations are built for long-term stability, not just initial go-live.*
  • Act as a dedicated daily partner to Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders. Guide them through the transition, translating "Finance-speak" into technical specifications and ensuring system health aligns with business velocity.*
  • Manage intake and prioritization of enhancement requests and partner with Finance stakeholders to maintain a roadmap for system improvements.*
  • Lead functional coordination for biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and feature adoption planning.*
  • Lead functional configuration activities and continuous improvement initiatives within the Workday platform.*
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and the Data Integration teams to ensure seamless data flow, integration alignment, and robust system performance across all modules.*
  • Lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing, ensuring system changes meet financial and operational requirements.*
  • Provide post go-live support and training to Finance users to ensure strong adoption and effective use of the platform.*
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience with direct configuration ownership. Must have participated in at least one full-lifecycle Workday implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Workday Pro certification in Financial Management, Procurement, or Adaptive Planning preferred but not required.
  • This position does not offer visa sponsorship.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Deep proficiency in Core Financials: GL, AP, AR, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Banking and Settlement.
  • Strong Procurement module experience: requisitioning, PO management, 3-way match, supplier portal, and spend authority configuration.
  • Prior Adaptive Planning experience or a demonstrated, active commitment to mastering the platform.
  • Experience supporting Workday business process configuration, security domain management, and data loads.
  • Experience supporting post-go-live Workday environments through at least one bi-annual release cycle, including regression testing coordination and feature adoption decisions.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven, comfortable working independently on complex projects but thrive in a collaborative, Agile environment.
  • Proven experience working with external implementation partners: ability to manage the SI relationship, challenge recommendations and protect HE&R's interests in design decisions.
  • Expert-level skills in process mapping and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting post go-live Workday environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to finance teams.
  • Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Proficient in working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.
