WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Wealth Technology Group is seeking an exceptional Senior Wealth Product Manager to drive transformational innovation and accelerate our digital evolution. This is a pivotal role where you'll serve as the strategic bridge between our end users, business stakeholders, and world-class software development teams.

As a catalyst for change within RBC Rochdale's technology transformation initiatives, you'll translate complex business needs into compelling product strategies, lead cross-functional agile teams, and champion industry best practices across the organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and continuously evolve the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Lines of Business, Wealth priorities, and client needs
  • Establish annual goals, OKRs, and KPIs; iterate on solutions using data-driven insights to maximize impact
  • Lead design thinking initiatives engaging with UX and research teams to conduct usability testing, concept validation, and co-creation studies that unlock client insights

Agile Leadership & Delivery
  • Drive day-to-day agile development team activities using Behavior-Driven Design (BDD) methodologies
  • Facilitate requirements definition sessions and lead BDD-focused collaboration with development teams
  • Assess value, develop compelling use cases, and prioritize stories, features, epics, and themes for maximum business impact
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to secure buy-in and alignment across lines of business, operations, legal, compliance, information security, fraud, and other functions

Transformation & Excellence
  • Play a key role in RBC Rochdale's organization-wide agile transformation and process improvement efforts
  • Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities; analyze complex problems and recommend solutions grounded in industry best practices
  • Lead projects of moderate to high complexity and serve as a technical advisor to teams
  • Evangelize product management excellence and act as a change agent in our evolving Wealth organization

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Deeply understand and empathize with market, client, and stakeholder challenges; articulate how our products solve real business problems
  • Translate intricate requirements into clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications
  • Influence technical teams to adopt best practices and deliver solutions of the highest quality


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have
  • 3-7 years of relevant product management experience with a minimum of 3+ years specifically in Wealth Product Management or equivalent role in financial services
  • Proven track record of developing Wealth products and technologies from conception to launch, demonstrating end-to-end product ownership, successful delivery, and measurable business impact
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with demonstrated ability to bridge business and IT functions, influence stakeholders, and simplify complex concepts
  • Proven leadership and ownership mindset; ability to drive initiatives, take responsibility for outcomes, and deliver results both independently and collaboratively in matrixed environments
  • Strong analytical and project management skills including proficiency in requirements gathering, business process analysis, SDLC, and feasibility assessment
  • Agile methodology experience with working knowledge of Agile frameworks and ability to thrive in iterative, fast-paced development environments
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with demonstrated capacity to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and manage complex timelines effectively
  • Learning agility and adaptability demonstrated flexibility in embracing innovation, accepting organizational change, and quickly acquiring new technical and domain knowledge


Nice-to-Have
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification or advanced framework experience
  • Behavior-Driven Design (BDD) expertise familiarity with BDD frameworks and test-driven development practices
  • API development knowledge understanding of API design patterns, documentation, and cross-system integration
  • Advanced data analytics capabilities proficiency in creating dashboards, KPI tracking, and business intelligence reporting
  • Investment and securities industry knowledge deep understanding of wealth management, investment products, and financial services practices
  • Experience managing distributed or offshore teams and third-party vendor partnerships
  • Technical foundation including basic SQL skills and solid understanding of risk management, issue tracking, change management, QA concepts, and software development practices
  • Technical documentation skills ability to create use cases, UML diagrams, and detailed technical specifications
  • Proficiency with essential tools: MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and issue management software
  • Cross-organizational collaboration experience in large, complex matrixed environments
