About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Wealth Management Banking Coordinator (SAFE) in the Legal Specialty Group within Private Wealth in Banking, Lending and Trust.

In this role, you will support Private Bankers and client relationships through account administration, client service, transaction execution, risk management, and operational support. This position requires the ability to balance day-to-day client and banker needs with extended projects and assignments, take ownership of work through completion, and maintain a high level of accuracy when handling transactions and activities subject to regulatory and compliance requirements.

In this role, you will:
  • Support more experienced Private Bankers with account administration, sales activities, risk management, and relationship management while supporting multiple people and balancing multiple priorities.
  • Assist in providing service to Private Banking client relationships.
  • Interact with clients to help identify client retention issues as well as potential new business opportunities across product lines.
  • Develop solid product knowledge and client relationship management skills to help meet the financial needs of customers and may have accountability for basic accounts.
  • Prepare preliminary client correspondence and customized professional client presentation materials to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Research and resolve operational issues related to complex accounts.
  • Work across centers, offices, and other internal partners to execute daily transactions and provide sales and credit support to bankers.
  • Interpret and apply applicable policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Take ownership of assigned work and projects, including extended projects, and maintain appropriate follow-through from initiation through completion.
  • Execute banking transactions, including wire-related activities, with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, risk management, and applicable controls.
  • Potentially provide work direction and training to less experienced associates.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal customers.
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.


Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Wealth Management Banking support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, or a banking and trust environment, including experience supporting client relationships and partnering with bankers and internal business partners.
  • Knowledge and understanding of opening and maintaining consumer and business deposit accounts, account processing, KYC requirements, Technical Exceptions (TE), and banking transactions, including wire transfers.
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies, procedures, compliance requirements, trust documents, and business formation documents in an environment requiring effective risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and assignments from initiation through completion, including extended projects requiring consistent follow-through, organization, accountability, and independent judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling client transactions, wire-related activities, documentation, and work subject to regulatory, risk, or compliance requirements.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines, client needs, and longer-term projects in a dynamic environment while collaborating effectively across organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and client service skills with the technical ability to learn and navigate multiple banking systems and applications and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.


Job Expectations:
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your employment start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position. Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.$34.62 - $52.40
