We are currently looking for a Senior VPM Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills.
A Day in the Life:
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
• Lead cross-cultural program development activities to ensure completion of key milestones and vehicle Quality/Cost/Timing.
• Develop project schedules and manage the critical path.
• Monitor metrics, identify key issues, and bring 'decision-ready' issues forward to the chief engineer.
• Be the liaison between engineering and outside organizations (manufacturing, marketing, product planning, etc.).
• Ensure the project stays on schedule and on budget.
• Be able to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally within the Nissan organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of professional-level experience in a related engineering discipline
• Firm understanding of automotive technology and engineering practices, with a hands-on background in the automotive industry
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Up to 10-20% travel may be required both domestic and international
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job
• Ability to perform work onsite at Farmington Hills
• Motor Vehicle Report required (clean driving record)
