In this role, you will shape how NC State responds to a changing enrollment landscape. You will bring together academic, financial, operational, and student perspectives to anticipate emerging challenges and opportunities, navigate complex decisions, and build alignment around strategies that advance sustainable enrollment and student success. Your leadership will translate changing student demand and educational needs into action, expanding access to an NC State education, supporting student success, and advancing the university's land-grant mission.

Key Responsibilities fall within the following core functions:

Shape University Enrollment Strategy and Capacity:
  • Develop and advance a comprehensive, long-term enrollment strategy aligned with NC State's strategic plan, academic priorities, land-grant mission, institutional capacity, and the educational and workforce needs of North Carolina.
  • Lead university-wide enrollment planning, establishing goals and projections while assessing academic, financial, operational, technological, and student-support capacity.
  • Advise university leaders on enrollment opportunities, emerging trends, institutional capacity, student demand, demographic changes, and the potential enrollment and resource implications of university policies and strategic decisions.
  • Lead university-wide enrollment planning by facilitating collaborative processes to develop enrollment goals, evaluate academic and operational capacity, assess institutional readiness, and align enrollment strategies with university resources and priorities.
  • Lead undergraduate enrollment strategies spanning recruitment, admission, enrollment, retention, progression, and graduation.

Advance Student Access, Success, and Experience:
  • Advance strategies that expand educational opportunity, reduce barriers, and strengthen student access, successful transitions, academic progress, retention, and timely degree completion.
  • Lead continuous improvement of programs, services, policies, communications, and practices that shape the student enrollment experience.
  • Strengthen enrollment communications and partnerships that communicate the value of an NC State education and support institutional enrollment priorities.
  • Cultivate educational partnerships, including with the North Carolina Community College System, to strengthen pathways and expand opportunity.

Lead an Innovative, Data-Informed Enterprise:
  • Provide executive leadership and fiscal stewardship for Enrollment Management and Services, aligning people, resources, technology, facilities, and operations with institutional priorities.
  • Champion the strategic use of data, analytics, research, technology, and predictive modeling to inform enrollment strategy, resource planning, decision-making, and outcomes.
  • Lead long-range organizational and operational planning that strengthens EMAS capacity, sustainability, innovation, and responsiveness.
  • Ensure enrollment systems, policies, processes, and services are effective, coordinated, accessible, compliant, and responsive to evolving institutional and student needs.

Build Institutional Leadership and Strategic Partnerships:
  • Build a high-performing organization grounded in professional excellence, collaboration, accountability, innovation, ethical leadership, and a shared commitment to student success and public service.
  • Establish priorities, accountability structures, and collaborative processes that translate institutional strategy into coordinated action across EMAS and the university.
  • Build trusted relationships with academic and administrative leaders and represent EMAS in university planning, governance, policy development, and resource allocation.
  • Represent NC State with the UNC System and external educational, governmental, professional, community, alumni, and other partners to advance enrollment and student-success priorities and contribute to the field of enrollment management.

NC State welcomes leaders who bring sound judgment, curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to listening and building trust across a complex university community. If you are energized by the opportunity to shape enrollment strategy, expand educational opportunity, and help advance the university's mission through thoughtful and innovative leadership, we invite you to apply.
