Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

This role requires a full-time onsite presence in Durham, NC

Role Summary

IONNA is seeking a visionary Senior Vice President of Product to lead the Product and Software organization and define the products, capabilities, software investments, and customer experiences that grow utilization across the network. This executive owns the product roadmap, OEM digital experiences, loyalty and membership strategy, software investment priorities, and overall product performance.

As a member of the executive leadership team, this leader will translate driver needs, OEM partnerships, technology capabilities, and business priorities into experiences that make IONNA the preferred charging network for EV drivers. Success will be measured by utilization growth, customer adoption, retention, and customer experience outcomes, not simply by feature delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase utilization, customer loyalty, and competitive differentiation.
  • Ensure product investments create measurable customer and business value.

Customer Experience Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end digital and onsite product experience for IONNA drivers.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to reduce friction and improve the charging experience.
  • Ensure product investment decisions improve driver experiences, engagement, and charging success.

Utilization, Engagement & Loyalty

  • Define the roadmap for loyalty, rewards, offers, and customer engagement capabilities.
  • Partner with the Growth team to accelerate driver acquisition, retention, and repeat charging behavior.
  • Leverage experimentation, analytics, and customer insights to improve product performance.

OEM & Digital Ecosystem Strategy

  • Lead product strategy for OEM integrations and connected vehicle experiences.
  • Drive roadmap development for in-vehicle charger discovery, navigation integrations & loyalty integrations.
  • Partner with OEM investors and customers to deliver differentiated experiences for their drivers.

Product Leadership & Governance

  • Own product prioritization and roadmap governance.
  • Establish a disciplined, metrics-driven product management organization.
  • Leverage customer feedback, behavioral data, and market intelligence to inform product decisions.

Organizational Leadership

  • Build, scale, and lead a world-class product and software organization.
  • Establish best practices for product management, discovery, prioritization, measurement, and software delivery.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, ownership, and customer obsession.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS degree in a relevant field with a minimum of15 years of progressive product leadership experience.
  • Proven success leading consumer-facing digital products at scale.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product strategy and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience driving customer engagement, retention, loyalty, or marketplace utilization.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and operational leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing product and/or software teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in EV charging, automotive, mobility, travel, retail, payments, loyalty, marketplace, fintech, subscription, or consumer technology industries.
  • Experience leading both Product Management and Software Engineering organizations.
  • Experience scaling customer-facing software platforms from early stage through high-growth environments.
  • Experience leading customer-facing digital and loyalty platforms.

They combine strong customer empathy with rigorous business discipline, understand how to lead software development teams, and know how to translate strategy into measurable results.

They obsess over the driver experience, operate with an ownership mindset, use data to drive decisions, move with urgency, simplify complexity, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and focus on outcomes over outputs.

Relevant backgrounds may include leading consumer, mobility, marketplace, loyalty, payments, travel, retail, automotive, EV charging, or technology businesses.
