Senior Vice President, Full Stack Engineering - Middle Office Derivatives OTC Valuation

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Full Stack Engineering to join our Integrated Middle Office Solutions - Derivatives Technology team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Design, build, and evolve scalable OTC derivatives valuation workflows, including orchestration and integration with multiple internal and external pricing providers.

Act as a hands-on senior engineer, contributing directly to backend services, workflow engines, and key integrations.

Own technical design for valuation orchestration platforms, including pricing provider routing, extensibility, and resiliency.

Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools such as Windsurf, Claude, and similar copilots to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Mentor and guide small, focused engineering PODs, providing execution leadership without direct people management responsibility.

Partner with Product and Middle Office Operations to translate business needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Establish and uphold high standards for SDLC, CI/CD, testing, performance engineering, and platform reliability.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with deep full-stack expertise.

Proven experience building valuation, pricing, or calculation-intensive workflows, ideally within derivatives or capital markets platforms.

Strong expertise in Java, Spring / Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.

Experience integrating multiple external service providers, including pricing or calculation engines.

Working knowledge of modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.

Hands-on experience with AI-driven developer tools (e.g., Windsurf, Claude, or equivalent).

Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.

Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and guide POD-level execution without direct reporting lines.

Demonstrates passion, initiative, and the ability to quickly develop strong domain knowledge of derivatives data, workflows, and end-to-end process flows in order to drive effective technology solutions.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
