Full Job Description
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, ETF Product to join our ETF Services business. This role can be located in New York City, NY/Boston, MA/Lake Mary, FL/Los Angeles, CA. Position Summary: Higher level of experience and expertise in product management. Responsible for strategic product planning, managing multiple product backlogs, and mentoring junior Product owners. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Product Execution: -Able to contribute meaningfully to specs for major features within the ETF platform -Able to negotiate the implementation of current work, make the right trade-off decisions to launch product in a high-quality manner -Know when to escalate to manager -Work with team to make recommendations that deliver maximum value to the ETF ecosystem as quickly as possible. -Can efficiently assess the quality and readiness of a feature Customer Insights: -Formulate the right business questions to be asked and how to track down data to inform decisions -Can use low fidelity tools to outline a design approach and then work with your team to translate into higher fidelity representation of the feature -Regular contact with users of product and use multiple sources to prioritize ETF roadmap decisions Product Strategy: -Leads product management and strategy for large and/or complex projects for the ETF Services business -Understands the economics behind and demonstrate business acumen for the ETF investment vehicle -Leverages market knowledge to integrate demands of the various regions and stay ahead of competitors Primary Responsibilities: -Develops ideas for new products, services, and technology to support the end-to-end workflow of an ETF - Independently manages the development, enhancement, and profitability and penetration of ETF-related products - Positions capabilities for specific client types, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages - Engagement with Sales and Relationship Management in supporting business development opportunities - Performs demonstrations and develops user material for clients To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: - Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA or CFA preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of direct ETF Services, ETF Product, ETF Capital Markets, or ETF AP Desk experience required - Minimum of 8-10 years of overall financial services experience is strongly preferred BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $104,000 and $228,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
